That was my first taste of BBL basketball - it was tough watching that first quarter [wince] as MK couldn't do a thing wrong and Riders didn't have their heads in the game. However, Mr Wierzbicki is dead right calling his team scrappy, in the sense that they dug deep and started to make interceptions, there was some awesome defence, and both guards looked like they really cared about keeping things positive. Consistent shooting by Mr W definitely helped.

The ball started moving a bit quicker, and the kids who'd been there all afternoon with the Schools Development Day (respect is due to Kiran W for all her and her team's hard work) got properly vocal and helped lift the sense of excitement an notch or ten. I honestly thought the Riders had timed it to perfection, but sport has a habit of relying on individual brilliance to cause upset among one or other set of fans, and so it was with the last play. With the MK guard winding the clock down expertly, there was one chance for glory, which Sturt took very well. With a less sleepy start, the Riders would have been a lot more comfortable, but then if, if, if...
Good luck to the Riders this weekend, and I'll be keeping an eye on the results in the future. This team look good.

This is a great opportunity for any young aspiring athlete to try a sport that is perfect for kids. I fell in love with it growing up in Tonbridge and I'm so happy to the Leicester Blue Sox offering this great sport local kids.

I remember that Palace game well. You were like a one man defence...outstanding. I also remember a great clearance off the line in the Charlton game.

Those two results were the start of our surge into the play-off final and the premier league. Crucial games in hindsight.

Must admit, this is the first time I've seen your blogg ... and I like it. I always thought it was a shame you didn't go on to coach at Leicester and on into management there, because you ARE Leicester City!!! You, like Birchenall, Izzet, Elliott, Liniker, Banks, Shilton, Guppy etc etc are the legends of this club and always will be. having said that, you've made your name in a the new arena and good luck to you and Muzzy with that .... like the name! ;¬)

Our family are enjoying the active academy, and it also encourages me to go to the gym more, as my son wants to go, and we can exercise together. Michael at Glasgow Virgin club took time with my son and myself, to work out a plan that will suit him, and was excellent at engaging with us and ensuring my son can use equipment safely. Definately recommend this to other parents.
